Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy is provided by Rex Kennedy, an independent app developer and publisher. It describes practices for our current mobile applications (the “Apps”), including but not limited to Opti-Lure, The Artisan’s Awl, The Bladesmith’s Codex, The Stillmaster, Advantage Player Pro, OptionTrainer Pro, and the TradeForge suite (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Carpentry). Future Apps published by Rex Kennedy may also use this policy when appropriate. If a future App has different privacy requirements, that App will provide updated disclosures as required.

The Apps are designed to work in a local-first way: most content you create stays on your device. That does not mean Apps never use the network. Some Apps use limited online services when needed for a feature you use (for example weather, place labels, or purchase verification), as described below.

How We Handle Information

Rex Kennedy does not:

• Sell your personal information
• Build advertising profiles about you
• Track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising
• Use third-party advertising SDKs to serve ads inside our Apps
• Require a publisher account or sign-in for normal App use

We also do not operate a general publisher-operated backend that uploads your journals, project logs, photos, or job records as part of ordinary use of the current Apps.

Some information may still be processed on your device, by Apple or Google, or by a feature provider when you use a related feature. That is not the same as Rex Kennedy collecting your content for advertising or resale.

On-Device Features and Storage

Many Apps store settings, journals, logs, notes, calculations, photos you attach, exports, or backups on your device. That information generally remains on the device unless you choose to export or share it yourself (for example through the system share sheet).

Some Apps may use device permissions only to support features in that App. Not every App requests every permission. Examples include:

• Location — for features such as regional recommendations, weather, elevation or place labels, or associating a log with an approximate place (when that App offers those features)
• Camera or photo library — when you choose to capture or attach images (for example to a log, document, or watermarked job photo), or when an App uses the camera for a related tool such as a flashlight / torch
• Files, sharing, or printing — when you export, back up, print, or share content you create

You can deny a permission in system Settings; related features may then be limited or unavailable.

Network Features and Third-Party Services

Depending on the App and the features you use, limited information may be sent to third parties that help deliver that feature:

Weather and related data

Some Apps (for example Opti-Lure) may contact a weather or environmental data provider. That typically involves sending a location (such as latitude and longitude) so the App can show conditions for your area. The provider processes the request under its own privacy policy. A specific provider may also be named in that App’s settings or about screen.

Platform services (Apple / Google)

Some Apps may use Apple or Google platform APIs—for example reverse geocoding to turn coordinates into a place label—under Apple’s or Google’s own policies.

In-app purchases (Apple / Google and RevenueCat)

Apps may offer paid features such as one-time / lifetime unlocks or subscriptions. Store payment is processed by Apple or Google. Rex Kennedy does not receive or store your full payment card details.

Where used, RevenueCat helps verify purchases and manage entitlements (confirming that a paid feature is active on your device). RevenueCat may process purchase-related identifiers and entitlement status for that purpose. Rex Kennedy uses this to unlock features you bought—not to sell your information or build advertising profiles.

Support Contact

If you email us for support, we receive the address and message you send, and we use them only to respond.

Children's Privacy

The Apps are not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). Some Apps may require a higher age (for example confirming you are 21 or older). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children for our own advertising or profiling purposes. If you believe a child has contacted us by email with personal information, please contact us. We will take reasonable steps to identify and delete that correspondence.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date:

Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are provided by Rex Kennedy, an independent app developer and publisher, for the current Apps, including but not limited to Opti-Lure, The Artisan’s Awl, The Bladesmith’s Codex, The Stillmaster, Advantage Player Pro, OptionTrainer Pro, and the TradeForge suite (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Carpentry). Future Apps published by Rex Kennedy may also use these Terms when appropriate. If a future App needs different terms, that App will provide updated disclosures as required. By downloading, installing, or using any App that references this page, you agree to these Terms and to the applicable App Store or Google Play terms.

License

Rex Kennedy grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Apps for your personal or professional use, in accordance with these Terms and the applicable App Store or Google Play terms of service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract the source code of any App, except where such restriction is prohibited by law. You agree not to use the Apps for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the Apps or related services. You agree not to misuse purchase, restore, trial, or entitlement mechanisms.

Purchases

Some Apps offer paid features. Depending on the App, these may include:

• One-time or lifetime unlocks
• Other non-consumable purchases
• Auto-renewing subscriptions (where offered)

Prices and product details are shown in the App and/or store listing at the time of purchase. Not every App offers every purchase type.

Payments. App Store and Google Play purchases are processed by Apple or Google. Rex Kennedy does not collect or store your full payment card information for those purchases.

Lifetime / one-time unlocks. Where offered, a lifetime or one-time unlock generally unlocks the described premium features for that App on devices associated with your store account, subject to Apple or Google rules and restore functionality. “Lifetime” refers to the life of that App product as offered by Rex Kennedy—not a guarantee that the App, stores, or device platforms will exist forever.

Subscriptions. Where an App offers auto-renewing subscriptions, price, billing period, free trial (if any), and auto-renewal terms are disclosed at purchase. Subscriptions renew unless canceled through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period (or as required by platform rules). You can manage or cancel a subscription through those account settings and through in-App links where provided.

Restore. Where available, use Restore Purchases (or your platform account) to re-activate entitlements after reinstall or on another device signed into the same store account.

RevenueCat. Many Apps use RevenueCat to verify purchases and manage entitlements. Entitlement status may depend on successful verification with the store and RevenueCat.

Purchases are also governed by Apple’s and/or Google’s terms. Refunds for store purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.

App Functionality and Limitations

Apps may provide recommendations, calculations, reference information, documents, weather-related context, journaling tools, training aids, or other aids. Unless an App expressly states otherwise:

• Output is informational and does not replace professional judgment, licensed advice, local regulations, manufacturer instructions, or on-site conditions
• Features that rely on device permissions work only when you grant those permissions and when the hardware or service is available
• Features that rely on network services (for example weather or purchase verification) require connectivity and may be unavailable when those services are down
• Rex Kennedy may update, change, or discontinue features

For trade-related Apps (including the TradeForge suite), output is intended as a professional field aid only and does not replace the adopted building code, local amendments, engineering judgment, or the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).

For educational Apps involving markets, games of chance, or similar topics, content is for education or practice and does not guarantee results; follow any in-App disclaimers.

For age-restricted Apps (for example The Stillmaster), content is intended for informational and educational use by individuals who meet the App’s stated age requirement (such as 21 or older), as permitted by law.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Apps are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Rex Kennedy does not warrant that the Apps will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any calculations, recommendations, reference data, weather information, training content, or generated documents are free of error.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rex Kennedy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, any App.

Termination

Rex Kennedy may terminate or suspend access to an App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using an App at any time by uninstalling it.

Changes to These Terms

If these Terms change, the updated version will be posted at this same URL with a revised "Last updated" date:
